Peebles is a town and small burgh in the Scottish Borders, Scotland, on the River Tweed, where the Eddleston Water joins it. The Tweed Bridge, the Chambers Institution, a museum and library building, and the Town House on the High Street are all category A listed. The ruined Cross Kirk is a scheduled monument, and the town also has Peebles Old Parish Church and Peebles Castle.
