Who we are
MyStreetPrints is a trading name of Weekender Brands Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15832914), 28 Manor Park Close, Tilehurst, Reading, RG30 4PS, United Kingdom. We are the controller of the personal information described here, and we're registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) under registration number ZC256054.
Questions about your information: hello@mystreetprints.com.
The short version
- We use your details to make, deliver and support your order, and for nothing you'd be surprised by.
- A photo you upload stays private. It's only offered to anyone else if you say yes after approving your poster.
- We never sell your information.
- Some services we use are outside the UK. Where they are, we rely on legal safeguards (below).
What we collect, and why
When you order
Your name, email address, delivery address, phone number (if you give one) and what you ordered. Payment is handled by Shopify's checkout; we don't see or keep your card details.
Why: to make and deliver your order, keep you updated and deal with returns (performing our contract with you), and to keep accounting records (legal obligation).
When you make a poster
The place you choose, the photo you pick or upload, the style, the words you add and the artwork we create, plus a saved copy of your design so you can come back to it.
Why: to create the poster you asked for and to print it (contract).
Photos you upload
The photo itself. We read the date it was taken and, where the camera recorded one, its location, to check the photo matches the place; we don't publish those details.
Why: to create your artwork (contract). We only offer artwork made from your photo to other customers if you choose "Yes, add it" after approving your poster (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
If you join as a photographer
Your name, email address, the area you photograph, your bio, portrait, website and Instagram handle if you give them, the photographs you send (including the date and location your camera recorded, which we use to check where a photograph was taken), the confirmations you give about owning them, and a record of the sales your photographs make and what we owe you. Payments to you go through Wise: you give your bank details to Wise directly, and we never see or keep them.
Why: to run the agreement between us — publishing your pages and photographs, selling prints and posters made from them and paying you (contract), and keeping payment records (legal obligation). Your name, portrait, bio and photographs are shown publicly on your photographer pages because that's what the agreement is for.
If you apply to collaborate with us
Your name, email address, the social media accounts you give us, the place you tell us about, the posts you link to and what you tell us about your audience. If we work together: the gift card we send you, your personal discount code and what it sells, links to your posts, and — if you join our Street Team — the commission we owe you. Payments to you go through Wise: you give your bank details to Wise directly, and we never see or keep them.
Why: to decide whether to work together and reply to you (steps you asked us to take before an agreement), then to run the agreement — sending your gift, tracking your code and paying you (contract), and keeping payment records (legal obligation).
If you came from a photographer's link
When you arrive through a photographer's link or QR code, we note their name against the poster you're making so they're paid the higher rate if you buy. That note is kept with your design on our server. We also keep it on your device for up to 30 days, but only if you've accepted marketing cookies.
Why: to pay the photographer who sent you (our legitimate interest in paying them fairly; on your device, your consent).
Emails
If you sign up for emails, we send them through Klaviyo. Every email has an unsubscribe link. If you email us, your message and our reply are kept in our email system (Google Workspace).
Why: emails you sign up for, your consent; answering your messages, our legitimate interest in helping you.
Reviews
If you leave a review, it's collected and shown through Judge.me with the name you give.
Why: your consent.
When you browse
Shopify records how the site is used (pages viewed, device and browser, approximate location from your IP address) and sets cookies to run the basket and checkout. Other cookies are only set if you accept them in our cookie banner.
Why: essential cookies to run the shop (legitimate interest); anything else only with consent.
Who we share it with
Only the companies that help us do the above, and only what each needs:
| Who | What they do for us | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Shopify | Runs our shop, checkout and payments | Canada, US, EU |
| Gelato | Prints and delivers your order (your name, address, email) | UK, EU, and its print network |
| fal.ai | Creates the artwork from the photo you choose or upload | US |
| Anthropic | Checks photos and artwork (that a photo shows the place, that the artwork is faithful to it) | US |
| Hetzner | Hosts our poster maker and stores designs and photos | Finland (EU) |
| Geoapify, OpenCage, Postcodes.io | Find the place you type in and show it on a map | EU / UK |
| Google (Google Workspace) | Our email | US, EU |
| Klaviyo | Sends emails, if you've signed up | US |
| Judge.me | Collects and shows reviews | UK company; servers in the US |
| Wise | Pays our photographers | UK / EU |
| Couriers (via Gelato) | Deliver your parcel | UK |
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights (for example a payment dispute).
International transfers. Where a service is outside the UK, we rely on the UK's adequacy decisions (for example the EU, and US companies certified under the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework) or on the UK's International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
How long we keep it
- Orders and payment records: 6 years from the end of the financial year they belong to, as UK tax law requires.
- Photos you upload: 12 months after your order is delivered — long enough for reprints, replacements and questions — or 90 days after you uploaded them if you didn't order. Then they're deleted, unless you've chosen to add your poster to our collection. You can ask us to delete them sooner at any time.
- Saved designs you haven't ordered: the artwork is deleted 12 months after you last changed the design. The design's details (the place and your words) stay so your link still opens, until you ask us to delete them.
- Photographers: your pages and photographs for as long as you take part; payment records for 6 years; everything else deleted within 3 months of you leaving, except posters already sold.
- Collaborator applications: 12 months if we don't work together. If we do: for as long as we work together, payment records for 6 years, everything else deleted within 3 months of the collaboration ending.
- Emails: until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You can ask us to: see the information we hold about you; correct it; delete it; restrict or object to how we use it; or give it to you in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent you can withdraw it at any time — that doesn't affect anything we did before. Email hello@mystreetprints.com and we'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113.
Children
Our shop isn't aimed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their information. Photographers and collaborators must be 18 or over.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use information you've already given us, we'll tell you first.
