City Hall, Belfast rises across the view from a corner of its lawns, its pale stone frontage of columns and tall windows carrying a green copper dome and a domed corner tower. Bronze figures stand on stone plinths on the grass, with benches, flower beds and people walking or sitting nearby. Painted in loose brushwork, with warm sandstone tones, fresh green lawns and a blue sky broken by soft white cloud.
